Who Builds Learntrix
Learntrix is an independent open-knowledge web project created and maintained by a solo developer ([Founder & Maintainer]). There is no corporate board, no venture funding, and no hidden subscription tier.
The project exists because everyday software tasks — calculating loan repayments, merging PDF documents, testing typing speed, or checking tax slabs — should be fast, accessible on any device, and available to anyone worldwide without needing an account or paying monthly fees.
How Learntrix is Funded
Learntrix is funded entirely through non-intrusive display advertising. There are no paid subscriptions, no sponsored product placements, and no paywalls.
Advertising revenue pays for web hosting, domain maintenance, and continuous software development. We keep advertising restrained: ad slots are placed predictably outside active computation areas, and never over game arenas or between calculation inputs and outputs.
Where Tools Run
Each tool on Learntrix explicitly indicates where its processing occurs via a badge:
- Runs in your browser: The vast majority of our calculators, converters, image processors, and musical synthesizers run directly in your local browser memory using JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas, and the Web Audio API.
- Uses our server: Whenever a tool requires server-side rendering or heavy cloud utilities, it is transparently labeled so you always know how your data is handled.
